Job Description: Cook

Cook's Goal: As a result of successfully completing your job, customers will leave the restaurant with the knowledge and sincere belief that their meal was prepared with their personal interests and desires of quality hot food as the highest priority, and having enjoyed their meal to the extent of creating a desire to return to a place which reflects a strong personal pride of workmanship evident in one's carrying out of one's assigned duties.

Cook Responsibility area includes:

  • 25 seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week;
  • food storage area;
  • kitchen cooking area.

    Cook Duties include, but not limited to:

  • maintain high standards of cleanliness of work area and high standards of food preparation;
  • prepare all meals during your assigned duty schedule;
  • oversee storage of food deliveries;
  • serve customers and work with other staff in friendly/courteous/helpful/professional manner.

    Reports directly to: Kitchen Manager (resort owner).

    Compensation includes:

  • Salary,
  • Room (if needed)/board,
  • Use of resort facilities and equipment. manner.

    Terms of employment: May through mid-October.

    Specifics:
    Board: 3 meals per day in restaurant, including day off
    Work schedule: 8 hours (minimum) per work day, 1 day off per week
    Use of resort facilities/equipment: free use as long as does not conflict with customers' use; must have permission of resort owners
    Housing (if provided): shared space in a resort-owned recreational vehicle (trailer/motorhome/camper), utilities (water/sewer/electric) provided
    Housing (if not provided): RV space provided for your own RV, utilities (water/sewer/electric) provided


    Combined Job Descriptions: Housekeeper/Waitress/Waiter

    (A half-time each, combined position.)

    Housekeeper Goals: As a result of successfully completing your job, resort facilities will be clean, presentable and inviting for all customers to enjoy their stay and create a desire to return to a place which reflects a strong personal pride of workmanship evident in one's carrying out of one's assigned duties.

    Housekeeper Responsibility area includes:

  • 10 cabins,
  • 1 lodge,
  • 1 central bathroom facility for RV park,
  • laundry room.

    Housekeeper Duties are, but not limited to, daily housekeeping chores around resort which includes:

  • vacuuming;
  • sweeping floors and porches;
  • mopping floors;
  • cleaning toilets, sinks and showers;
  • making beds;
  • doing resort laundry (sheets, towels, blankets);
  • washing windows;
  • keeping outsides of cabins presentable;
  • work with all in friendly/courteous/helpful/professional manner. (These are "housekeeping cabins" which means we do cleaning only when customers check out.)

    Waiter/Waitress Goal: As a result of successfully completing your job, all restaurant stations will always be at their highest level of presentation and customers will leave the restaurant with a sense of having been personally attended to by an individual who puts each and every customer's restaurant needs as the highest priority causing the customer to express appreciation and a desire to return.

    Waiter/Waitress Responsibility area includes:

  • a 25 seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week;
  • food storage area;
  • wait person station.

    Waiter/Waitress Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • serve as waiter/waitress in restaurant (take orders, serve food, clear tables, make salads, prepare desserts);
  • clean restaurant (wipe tables, vacuum floor);
  • prep restaurant for next shift (fill condiments, roll silverware, etc.);
  • clean wait station (wipe counter, clean soda/coffee/juice machines);
  • assist in washing dishes as needed;
  • help Cooks with storage of food deliveries;
  • serve customers and work with other staff in friendly/courteous/helpful/professional manner.

    Referring to Both Positions as One:
    Reports directly to: Resort Owners.

    Job Description: Boat Dock Person

    Boat Dock Person's Goal: As a result of successfully completing your job, boat dock facilities, boats and fish cleaning station will be clean, safe, operable, presentable and inviting for all customers to enjoy, creating an ease of use and creating a desire to return to a place that reflects a strong personal pride of workmanship evident in one's carrying out of one's assigned duties.

    Boat Dock Person's Responsibility areas includes:

  • 2 boat dock areas (1 for resort boats, 1 for guest boats);
  • fish cleaning station; parking area;
  • boat house;
  • all rental boats;
  • all rental motors.

    Boat Dock Person's Duties include, but not limited to:

  • maintain cleanliness of boat dock area;
  • maintain cleanliness of parking area;
  • maintain cleanliness of fish cleaning station;
  • maintain cleanliness of all rental boats;
  • perform minor maintenance on boat engines and boats as instructed;
  • instruct customers on proper use of boat engines and boats as instructed;
  • be at the boat dock to assist with boats going out and boats returning to docks;
  • be available to assist boat owners at guest docks with needs as they arise;
  • work with all in friendly/courteous/helpful/professional manner.
